Director says screen recording isn't allowed
Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen & System Audio Recording, and switch Director on. Then quit Director and open it again.
How do I stay zoomed in while typing?
In Recording settings, choose a click mode and select Allow Input Monitoring. Director only notices that a key was pressed, never which one.
How do I start and stop recording?
Press ⌃⌥R (Control-Option-R) from any app, or use the red Record button. Press ⌃⌥Z to zoom in or out yourself.
Where are my recordings?
In your Movies folder, inside Director. Exported videos are saved wherever you choose.
Can I record a vertical monitor?
Yes. Pick it under Recording settings › Which screen do you want to record, then choose Tall 9:16 as the video shape in the editor.
